Access to Passu Peak is facilitated by a straightforward route originating from Islamabad, traversing through Gilgit, Hunza, and Borit Lake. The trek commences from Borit Lake, leading through scenic locales such as Passughar, Luzdar, and culminating at Patundas Pass at an elevation of 4,200 meters. From there, adventurers descend to Passu Peak Base Camp, where a picturesque campsite awaits amidst the tranquil surroundings and the presence of a charming small lake adds to the allure of the setting.
Day 01Islamabad ArrivalUpon arrival at Islamabad International Airport, you’ll be welcomed by the Sunrise Adventure team and transferred to a centrally located hotel in Islamabad. Overnight stay in Islamabad.
Day 02Islamabad to ChilasDrive to Chilas on the Karakorum Highway, stopping at Shatial Rock Carving en route. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel. Overnight stay in Chilas.
Day 03Chilas to Gulmit Upper Hunza ValleyAfter breakfast, drive to Gulmit Upper Hunza Valley for sightseeing. Enjoy a lunch break at Rakaposhi View Point. Continue driving to Gulmit and check in at the hotel. Overnight stay in Gulmit Upper Hunza Valley.
Day 04Gulmit to Borith Lake and Passu GharDrive to Upper Borith and trek up to Passu Ghar after breakfast. Overnight camping at Passu Ghar.
Day 05Passu Ghar to LuzdharContinue trekking to Lazhdar, crossing the Passu white Glacier. The hike takes about 3 – 4 hours. Overnight camping at Luzdhar, an unused pasture at 3400 m.
Day 06Luzdhar to PatundassClimb gaining 800 m altitude to Patundas Pasture, offering breathtaking views of the Passu and Batura glaciers. Spend the day feasting your eyes on the enchanting land of Hunza. Overnight camping at Patundass Meadows.
Day 07Patundass to Passu Peak Base CampTrek from Patundass Meadows to Passu Peak base camp. Overnight camping at Passu Peak base camp.
Day 08 – 28Climbing Days at Passu Peak Base CampSpend these days at Passu Peak base camp while climbing Passu Peak.
Day 29Passu Peak Base Camp to LuzdharAfter breakfast, trek back to Luzdhar from Passu Peak base camp. Overnight camping at Luzdhar.
Day 30Luzdhar to Borith LakeAfter breakfast, trek to Borith Lake via Passu white Glacier. Overnight camping at Borith Lake.
Day 31Borith Lake to Gulmit Upper Hunza ValleyIn the morning, drive to Gulmit after breakfast. Arrive in Gulmit and check in at the hotel. Overnight stay in Gulmit Upper Hunza Valley.
Day 32Gulmit to GilgitAfter breakfast, drive to Gilgit. En route, stop for photography and visit the bazaar to familiarize ourselves with the customs of Gilgit. Experience a hair-raising drive across Asia’s longest suspension bridge. Arrive in Gilgit and check in at the hotel. Overnight stay in Gilgit.
Day 33Gilgit to BeshamEarly morning departure for Besham after breakfast. En route, stop at Nanga Parbat view and the junction point of three mountain ranges. Lunch and toilet breaks included. Arrive in Besham and check in at the hotel. Overnight stay in Besham.
Day 34Besham to IslamabadAfter breakfast, drive to Islamabad. Visit Taxila Museum en route. Arrive in Islamabad and visit Faisal Mosque, Lok Versa, Saidpur Village, Daman Koh, and Raja Bazar. Enjoy a farewell dinner party before dropping you off at the airport for your flight back home.
Please Note: Gilgit Baltistan flights are subject to weather and backlog, in case of flight cancellation we will travel by road, and one night of Islamabad will be adjusted in overland travel.

4 x 4 Jeeps:

Trekking and Base Camp Food:

Porters:
- Porters will carry members’ climbing gear, foodstuff, camping crew, etc., up to the base camp and return to the Jeep Roadhead. Insurance provided for all porters.
Staff:
- Insurance provided for the liaison officer and arrangements made for their role.
